With reference to your letter of the 7th instant

53689/16 regarding a consignment of Wood Oil from

Hong Kong to Stockholm, I am instructed by the Director

of the War Trade Department to state for the information

of Mr. Secretary Bonar Law that in view of the fact

that the 011 can be substituted for the Seed Oil

of which there are considerable stocks in Sweden,

thie Department is of opinion that permission for

the export of the consignment in question should not

be granted. The documente enclosed with your letter

are returned herewith as requested.
